When Yeezy Season 1 pricing leaked the first time around, there was OUTRAGE. How could Kanye just lie to all our faces about his ambitions of breaking down the BARRIERS OF EXCLUSIVITY and CLASS? We felt BETRAYED. Granted, we got over it pretty quick and moved onto the next controversy.
Well, the folks who brought us the initial price reports last time, Highsnobiety, are at it again with the inside scoop on just how broke Yeezy Season 2 will also make you. Reports from inside Kanye's Parisian bunker are that Season 2 is going to be just as painful on your wallet, never mind the simple fact that Season 1 hasn't shown up in stores yet, though it is supposed to arrive later this month. Sources say that the accessories and sneakers (which will still be made by Adidas) will be shown at a later date, so no pricing on those, but here's the quick rumored breakdown of the rest, which includes Japanese and European fabrics and is entirely made in Europe.
Those big ass crepe sole boots that are reportedly made in Italy: around $562
Japanese jersey cotton shorts: around $562+
Japanese hoodies: ~$562-675
Japanese tees: $225+
Expect the European materials to run a shade less, though most likely not discounted enough that you'd feasibly be able to talk yourself into them. That's the info for now. So, what have we learned today, class? Unless you are the plug, you likely still ain't got no Yeezy in your Serato.
UPDATE: Hypebeast obtained a pricing sheet for the collection with every single item's name, available colors and approximate retail price. It's a goddamn laundry list. While it's all still super expensive, you should note that no item costs more than $1,000 whereas Season 1 has more than a few items crossing into that four-figure territory, with a few even creeping upwards of $4,000 for the coat.
