OFF-WHITE is one of the biggest names leading today's mash-up of high-fashion luxury and screen-printed streetwear. It's been lauded by celebrities and critics alike, earning designer Virgil Abloh, (who also happens to be Kanye's close friend and creative director) a spot as a finalist for the 2015 LVMH prize. Noting OFF-WHITE's previous work, the label turned heads with their offering of a "Jewish Hat." No, were not kidding.

It may seem like the slip of an overzealous webshop copywriter, but—as seen on the digital shelves of stores like Union Los Angeles, and A Ma Maniére—this is actually the proper product name.

Undoubtedly, the name is inspired by the modest, wide-brimmed hats that are worn on the heads of Hasidic Jewish men. Considering that Abloh is often seen in public with this type of headgear, we'd wager this is likely more of an homage than an insensitive parody. It's certainly a far cry from Macklemore's "accidental" Jewish stereotype costume.

Abloh hasn't mentioned anything about the name of the hat directly, but if  these hats suddenly reappear on store shelves with new names, we're not going to be surprised.
