American Apparel Releases Evidence Of Former CEO's Misconduct And It's Completely Disgusting

None

American Apparel has been trying to rid itself of former CEO Dov Charney for what feels like forever now. We haven't covered too much of that because it's pretty much just boring legal games and all shit. But dude just keeps firing back at his former employer with lawsuit after lawsuit, trying to reclaim money, considering his reputation left him long ago. This time it's a bit different though. In an effort to stymie Charney from filing any further legal action against the company, American Apparel just dropped a nuclear bomb of filth, releasing a treasure trove of gross texts, statements, comments and other assorted shit that Charney was responsible for while running the company.

The list includes many offensive, sexist and racist comments and incidents of abuse by Charney that run the gamut, hurling insults about Filipinos, Mexicans, Jews, homosexuals, women and others, including choking out an employee for a store's poor performance and throwing a full bottle of ibuprofen at another, all the while making disgusting sexual advances. Really, it's an impressive laundry list of scumbaggery. Gawker has the full visual rundown of court documents if you want to take a gander at some of the most outrageous shit we've seen in quite some time.

Charney's actions had already cost American Apparel $10 million in litigation fees as of September last year, while Charney's attorney asserts that the claims in the filing are false or did not occur, obviously. I guess this is what happens when a prominent figure within a company gets carte blanche to do whatever they want and nobody does anything to stop them. Asshole bosses everywhere are officially on notice.
