This weekend, three stalwarts of progressive graffiti take residence at First Amendment Gallery in San Francisco. Local, Bay Area artists Poesia and Sam Rodriguez are joined by Berlin's Jaybo to explore experimental techniques and a playful fusion of abstraction and graffiti. The idea is captured in the exhibition title, The Composite Knowledge, which captures the evolution of these writers to fine artists and their efforts to interact with the wider world of painting. The works on view blend realistic and abstract landscapes and fuse street and academic art.
