At 30,000-square-feet, Las Vegas' new Morrow Royal Pavillion is large by any standards. However, it is in materials that the building makes the news. Constructed with GreenStone (a composite made of glass), the manufacturing space can boast of being the world's largest building made of recycled beer bottles. A boozy claim, but also an environmentally shrewed one. The 500,000 bottles crushed to make the GreenStone saved a ton of landfill space. [Inhabitat]
