Guggenheim Museum, New York, NY
Frank Lloyd Wright, 1959

The Guggenheim was the museum that kickstarted the trend for museum buildings as art. It was completed in 1959, a few years after its architect, Frank Lloyd Wright's, death. The foundation has kept on trend, employing the likes of Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid for equally mind-blowing structures at other Guggenheim outposts around the world.
