If you didn't know, the Complex Sports team is down in Orlando for the Pro Bowl this year, which means we'll be putting put up some solid content over the next week. So, if you're not already following Complex Sports on Twitter and Instagram, make sure you do so. Not only will we be at Pro Bowl this year, but we're heading down to Miami next week for al the Super Bowl festivities. So basically, we got y'all covered.
First up on the docket after arriving in beautiful Orlando was the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown, and folks, it's still elite entertainment. We got an early taste of the action before it debuts on ESPN tonight at 9 p.m. ET, and it was a true sight to see. Not only did the NFL get the biggest stars available to participate, but they figured out how to showcase these skills and a fun and unique way. Like they really got Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson, Deshaun Watson, Von Miller, Jarvis Landry, Davante Adams, and many more all competiting in games like it's Nickeledeon in 1995? Sign me up every day of the week.
Not sure if anyone else does this, but when any of the old QB Challenges from the 90s are on TV, I have to watch them. There was nothing better than watching Brett Favre vs. Steve Young slinging the pigskin and trying to dot the targets for the crown of QB accuracy supremcy. Just pure football fun, folks. While the Skills Showdown competitions have changed over the years, the essence of the competition remains the same. It's the best of the best in the NFL having fun in a way we just don't usually see.
I won't give away any results either, you have to watch for yourself, but I will say, the QB accuracy competition and dodgeball showdown are going to have social media ablaze come later tonight. That's all I'm going to say about that. But yeah, I love this. It's the perfect mix of nostalgia to the 90s competitions but with a new twist that's sprinkled with the elite talent in the NFL today.
As I said, we'll be down in Florida for the next two weeks with plenty more content to come. We'll be live from the Pro Bowl on Sunday, which will air on ESPN and ABC at 3 p.m. EST, and then head down to Miami where we have a very special, huge Super Bowl preview episode of our Load Management podcast dropping next Tuesday.
