With just two upgrades, Romeo Ferrari was able to bump the 599 GTO's horsepower up by 55. The first includes a new air filter and exhaust to boost the horse by 15, and stage two remapped the ECU for a 40-horsepower increase. That puts their 599 at 710 total horsepower compared to its successor's 740.
