Not all concepts are official, and no two concepts are ever the same. Every single day, there are artists out there sketching away at projects, trying to create something great, something new, something fresh. Sites like deviantART and (sadly) Facebook are fantastic places for people to display their works and show off their car design fortes. Of the many manufacturers out there, we've noticed that BMW seems to be a favorite among the designers. Check out some of these brilliant (and not-so-brilliant) creations.

BMW? Ehhh. Next-generation Audi R8? Yes, please.

Designer: RS--Design
We like this concept a lot, but it looks a little too much like Jaguar to be wearing the BMW badge.
CNCPTX
Designer: Emre Hüsmen
Anything that reminds us of a Local Motors Rally Fighter is great in our book. It might not be practical, but SUVs with such aggressive stances like this are fantastic.
328 Hommage
Designer: BMW
This is the only concept car on this list that was officially produced by BMW, but that doesn't mean it isn't just as wild. This is a direct call-back to the original 328. This concept was for the 75th birthday of the 238.
250tti
Designer: Emil Baddal
This one looks a little too rough and choppy to actually consider itself a BMW.

Okay, this one's not really cool. It's pretty hideous, actually, but we just wanted to show you how insane some artists go with their renderings. It looks like a weird animal/dune buggy hybrid that is sick with an undiscovered disease.

We see LFA, we see SLS, we see Type 57SC Atlantic, and that's just a first glance. This is a damn sexy car.
M10 GT4 Concept
Designer: Emil Baddal
We feel like this would be the final product if a BMW designer and a Ford Mustang designer made rough, passionate love and spit out a drawing.

Designer: Radion Design
This guy reminds us of the Fisker Karma, which is an extremely good thing. It's got the huge elongated nose, the two front grilles, the slit taillights. It's very handsome. That's the biggest success from the car that has become a sad story of failure.
MZ8
Designer: Jourd'hui Christophe and Benjamin Baron
This is one of those concepts that we would kill somebody for. The gorgeous sports car is an hommage to the Z8 and 8-series.
BMW-Toyota Partnership
Designer: Motortrend/Unknown
About a year ago, BMW and Toyota announced that the two would be joining forces to creat a new mid-engined sports car platform. Toyota likes BMW's strength in performance, and BMW likes Toyota's strengths in hybrid and fuel cell technology. This presents an interesting possibility of future hybrid sports cars. Motor Trend went ahead and dreamt up this sharp rendering to represent what they think the collaboration might end up looking like.
