Not really, but sort of.

Today at the midway point of the big game between the Ravens and the 49ers, Beyoncé will take the field at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. She won't be alone. A 2014 Chevrolet Corvette will be sharing the spotlight. And while everybody is staring at one of the biggest pop sensations in the world, we'll be eyeing the C7 as it smirks at the crowd and absorbs hundreds of camera flashes. When she's done lipsyncing, she gets to drive the car right off the field and into her and Jay-Z's garage. Well, she'll probably stay to watch the second half of the game, but you know what we mean.

Trunk Space

You can go ahead and joke about us giving a halo sports car credit for the space in its trunk, but this is something that still gives it that GM feel. This is a car you can travel long distances in, if you choose, and there will most definitely be room for you to put a couple bags in the back.

New Logo

With a complete redesign of the Corvette came a new look for the crossed flags logo. In representative fashion, the flags have a much more modern, edgy look and have much more detail than the previous icon.

Edgy, Square Tail Lights

One of the most immediately noticeable changes on the new Vette are the tail lights—changed from the former signature quartet of circular lights to square lights on each side. These are now clustered together and pretty deeply inset into the rear. Some have complained that they look too much like the Camaro's lights, but overall, they have seen a warm welcome.

Stylized, Functional Air Vents

Like each member of Destiny's Child every single piece of this car has a function, including all air vents. There are intakes in the front and on the sides, flowing air through the vehicle. This air is aimed at parts that need cooling, like the engine or the brakes, and leaves through the vents on rear of the vehicle. So, no, there not just there to look nice.

Four Centered Tailpipes

We like a backside married to some solid pipes. The pipes on the Vette have slowly pushed in and gotten closer together. With the C7, they are finally all connected, creating a powerful central space for the emissions of the 450hp 6.2-liter V8 LT1 to release. Ultimately, we're also mesmerized by this beautiful sound.
