Sure, gypsy cabs are occasionally unsafe. Still many of us use them to save a buck. Residents of Hefei, China, no longer have that luxury, as the city government has literally destroyed 156 illegal taxis. The method of disposal is pure madness — police, city workers, and even other cab drivers were allowed to smash up all the unlicensed cars. We're sure more than a little stress was relieved by some.
