According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, it is "certain" that the Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has decided to select Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck with the #1 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. While there is still plenty of time before the final decision needs to be made, it seems as though Irsay believes that a player like Luck is too good to pass up. Plus, the Indianapolis owner sees “symmetry” in having the first pick because in 1983, the Colts picked John Elway. Then, 15 years later, they ended up selecting Peyton Manning. Now, it is 14 years later and you cannot help but think that fate will take them to Luck.
