No, John Wall Won't Be Playing Through His Fractured Wrist in Game 3

The Wizards point guard is officially out for Game 3

While it's a testament to John Wall's resiliency that those of us in NBA circles were legitmately thinking that the Washington Wizards point guard might still play despite five non-displaced fractures in his wrist and hand, the Wiz confirmed this afternoon that their All-Star point guard will sit out tonight's Game 3 against the Atlanta Hawks.

After initially injuring himself when he fell during a second quarter fall in Game 1, Wall skipped out on Game 2 to head back to D.C. and figure out the best course of action. This led to rumors of Wall "clashing" with the Wiz's medical staff, whatever that means, which led to head coach Randy Wittman berating a writer for even publishing the story. It was all great theater, but now Wizards fan have to accept a cold, dark reality. Wall will mostly likely miss the rest of this series, and the Wizards will mostly likely miss their shot at the Eastern Conference Finals because of it. Unless Ramon Sessions turns in to Kobe Bryant, that is.
