Leader in the satellite navigation market, Garmin introduces an app that allows you keep track of your progress while riding your bike through your iPhone or Android smartphone. Measuring and displaying your route, speed, pace, distance travelled, elevation, time, and calories burned with the option to upload the data to Garmin Connect for post-ride analysis and priced at only .99 on either iPhone's app store or the Android market, the Garmin Fit app looks to entirely eliminate the market for pricier standalone cycling GPS units. The Garmin Fit even offers an optional adapter for the iPhone that will allow you to record heart rate and cadence with the (not included) compatible chest strap and spoke chip for more serious bike enthusiasts.
