CM Punk has long embraced his role as a divisive figure, a construct that's been magnified since the former WWE wrestler announced that he's joining the UFC and will fight competitively in 2015. Naturally, there are some fans who see his signing as nothing more than a cash grab or publicity stunt. Punk's not oblivious to the criticism. On Wednesday, he addressed the detractors on Fox Sports (as well as in an interview with Rolling Stone).
After being asked if he has a fear of failure, Punk responded in part, "There's a big chance I fall flat on my face on this. And obviously, it'll be in front of the entire world, but that's never stopped me from attempting to do anything. You're talking to a man who crapped himself on national television before, so I'm ready to be embarrassed if it comes to that."
