Did you watch the USA/Portugal World Cup matchup last night? If not, you were alone. Because according to ESPN, the 2-2 draw was the most-watched soccer game in American history. Almost 23 million people were watching the game at one point and the average viewership hovered right around 18.22 million people throughout the game. That figure topped the previous American high of 17.98 million viewers for the women's 1999 World Cup final.
