UPDATE:
Russell Wilson responded to getting called out for using Google to find descriptions for Ciara by...saying he prefers Bing? Yup, that's right. This was his response:
Wilson also sent out a couple of original tweets directed at Ciara and proved why he needed Google's help, er, Bing's help in the first place:
See original story below.
QUICK: Come up with something nice to say about Ciara in the next 10 seconds. Were you able to do it? Yes? Then, congratulations. You are apparently more qualified to be Ci-Ci’s boyfriend than Russell Wilson is.
Yesterday, the Seahawks quarterback put up a #WCW post on Twitter that featured, of course, Ciara. That post also featured some really nice words about her:
Good going, Russ! No wonder Ciara loves you so much. Except…uh, Russ. THOSE WEREN’T YOUR WORDS. Billboard editor Natalie Weiner Googled them and discovered that they actually came from a descriptive writing website that pops up when you Google “Describing a Beautiful Woman”:
Welp. And Wilson didn’t stop there. In addition to the Twitter post, he also took to Instagram to put up a different #WCW post. Again, he used the same site for inspiration and decided to go with this caption:
Now, this isn’t really the end of the world. Not every guy has a way with words or is good at describing his girlfriend, even if that girlfriend is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful women in the world. But if you’re having trouble coming up with a good #WCW caption, Russ, how about some song lyrics? Or maybe a Shakespeare quote? Or a poem? Or…well, anything but a sentence from a random descriptive writing website? C'mon, man, you're better than that! Right?
