According to KTLA news, 17-year-old Chino Hills High School senior basketball star, Nnamdi Okongwu, is brain-dead after suffering a severe head injury in a skateboarding accident. The incident occurred Tuesday, and reports differed as Chino Hills High School assistant coach Mel Sims told KTLA that family members stated Okongwu was brain-dead and on life support, while head coach Steve Baik relayed to the Los Angeles Times that he had died. The 6-foot-9-inch senior was set to attend Loyola Marymount University on a scholarship.
