Tuesday marks Vanessa Bryant's first birthday since the death of her husband and daughter. But fortunately, she was able to find something that made it feel like a piece of Kobe was still with her.

"Yesterday I found an envelope labeled To: The Love of my Life. From, Tu Papi," Vanessa wrote in an Instagram post showing the letter. "I waited to open one more letter on my birthday. It gave me something to look forward to today."

Vanessa also revealed that Kobe had a picture of her with an angel drawn on the cover of the card.

"The irony is that Kobe had a photo of me drawn with an Angel holding me up by an artist on the cover," she continued. "Missing the Love of my Life and my sweet little Mamacita- my fellow Taurus. Grateful to wake up to my 3 sweet girls today. Wish we were all together."

Since the passing of Kobe and Gianna, Vanessa has been brave enough to share her grieving process with the world. Together, she and her oldest daughter, Natalia, helped celebrate Gigi's birthday by sending out heartfelt posts about their loved ones. Vanessa previously celebrated her anniversary with Kobe on social media.
