Patrick Mahomes is taking his pickup basketball ban in stride. After the Kansas City Chiefs made it clear that they don't want their star QB risking injury in the offseason by hitting the court with friends, Mahomes found a way around the rules that allows him to get his competitive urges out.

The MVP shared a video of himself playing NBA 2K19 with the caption "Only hooping I'm doing these days."

The only balling Patrick Mahomes will be doing these days is throwing down on @NBA2K 😂

News came down quickly from Mahomes' agent, who said the quarterback's hooping days are now in the past.

VEACH: We spoke to Pat Mahomes’ agent and said Chiefs Kingdom can be assured there will be no more basketball for Pat. We were able to nip that in the bud.
