Wide receiver Antonio Brown continues to add to the growing rift between himself and the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Tuesday, Feb. 12, Brown took to Twitter with a video showing a minute of highlight plays he had with the team that drafted him in 2010. The clip was synced to the audio of Lil Uzi Vert's "Do What I Want" with the caption, "Thank you SteelerNation for a big 9 years... time to move on and forward..."
From this post, many assumed that Brown and the Steelers have come to some agreement that would end his time with the team. However, as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter, this post was merely Brown reiterating his desire to be traded.
Brown first voiced that he wanted to leave the organization toward the end of the 2018-2019 season amid locker room issues. And despite several Steelers, like fellow wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster, believing the growing divide between Brown, Roethlisberger, and coach Mike Tomlin could be fixed, this video makes it clear AB feels otherwise.
Although it is unclear how his off-field issues will impact his trade stock, it is known that the prolific receiver has put together a Hall of Fame career in his 9 seasons making him an asset to whatever team decides to take the chance and sign him.
