Due to the current scandal surrounding Michigan State University stemming from the sexual assault case against Larry Nassar, a lot of staff members and alumni are being asked to comment on the situation. The latest former Spartan to offer his thoughts is Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.

Following the Warriors' 109-105 victory over the Boston Celtics on Saturday night, Green weighed in on the scandal plaguing his alma mater.

"As a die-hard Spartan fan, as an alumnus, as a supporter, I wish those who were affected, touched by it, broken by it, shaken, whatever it did to you, I wish them well in their recovery. Because it touches everybody in a different way," Green told ESPN. "Whether you're a supporter and it kills your pride or whether you're a victim and you're going through the things that you're going through."

Green was a member of the Michigan State Spartans men's basketball team from 2008 to 2012 under head coach Tom Izzo. Green would go on to offer his support to Izzo, as well as head football coach Mark Dantonio as well. Both head coaches have been under scrutiny in the wake of sexual assault accusations related to their programs in the past and their cover-ups of the incidents.

"I offer my support to coach Dantonio and coach Izzo in their efforts to rebuild and to help the victims in any way that they can,” Green said. “They say the true test of a man is what he does in a time of adversity. I know those two guys will stand up and do whatever they can to help," said Green.

The fallout from the Nassar sentencing has unearthed a much more widespread issue within the university. Not only have they been criticized for how they handled the actions of Nassar during the time he was employed there, but according to ESPN, at least 16 players have been accused of sexual assault and violence. Former Spartans basketball player Adriean Payne has also recently been waived by the Orlando Magic for sexual allegations that recently surfaced from his time at Michigan State.

Green finished by saying, "I look forward to helping in any way I can. Those affected, supporters, most importantly, the victims, any way I can help, I look forward to that."
