Ted Cruz doesn't know anything about basketball, and President Barack Obama – a noted baller – took advantage of his opportunity during the White House Correspondents' Dinner Saturday night to clown Cruz.

Context: Cruz campaigned in Indiana, a state he desperately needs to win, earlier this week. Indiana also has a rich basketball tradition, so the Republican candidate attempted to make a basketball metaphor, but his lack of hoops understanding became evident quickly. Take a look for yourself below.
Earlier this campaign season, we saw Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders absolutely getting buckets, and legendary coach Bobby Knight introduced Donald Trump at an event this week. There's no denying basketball has become a part of this campaign. More proof: ball is indeed life.
