North Carolina High School Goalkeeper Suspended Two Games After Using Hit Stick on Opposing Player

She's in the wrong sport.

Pine Forest (N.C.) goalkeeper Cassie Sturtz was given a two-game suspension after executing a spear on Pinecrest's Riley Barrett late in her team's 4-1 loss on Thursday. Surprisingly, Sturtz wasn't penalized in any form during the game for her actions on Barrett who was incorrectly ruled offside on the play. Something like this wouldn't even be allowed in hockey. Hockey!

Sturtz deserves the suspension and she should consider herself lucky that Barrett didn't get seriously injured.
