Yankees Pitcher Bryan Mitchell Leaves Game After Getting Hit in the Face With a Line Drive (UPDATE)

In an absolutely frightening scene at Yankees Stadium tonight, New York Yankees pitcher Bryan Mitchell was hit the face with a line drive off the bat of the TwinsEduardo Nunez

As Mitchell was getting looked at by team trainer Steve Donahue, you can see the blood pouring from his face. 

With a towel covering his bloodied face, the 24-year-old pitcher made his way off the field with the help of Donahue. No word yet on the extent of Mitchell's injuries. He was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital for what is being called a "full evaluation."

UPDATE: Mitchell sustained a small nasal fracture. 

Bryan Mitchell suffered a small nasal fracture. He has been released from the hospital. NYY docs will monitor any concussion symptoms.
