Something's been missing this NBA season. It's Kobe Bryant. And Kevin Durant. And Joel Embiid, too. They're supposed to be back next season, but one of them hit a bump on the road to the season opener.

The headline already killed the suspense. Embiid sat out his rookie season because of a broken bone in his foot. Unfortunately, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports that Embiid had a setback. Embiid hasn't felt pain in that foot, but CT scans showed that there was some sort of problem with the healing process.

"Philadelphia is consulting with doctors on how to best proceed, and it's still premature to speculate on the possibility of another surgical procedure that could sideline Embiid," said the report.

He could miss the Summer League because of this. You'd also have to assume Philadelphia fans are aggravated about having a potentially powerful front court still not at 100 percent.
