High School Basketball Recruit Names Derrick Rose, Who Didn't Go to Kentucky, as Part of the Reason for Joining Kentucky

High school basketball recruit was asked why he chose to join Kentucky and he named Derrick Rose, among others. But Rose went to Memphis.

Five-star recruit Isaiah Briscoe will be playing for the Kentucky Wildcats next season. During the McDonald's All-American Game, Briscoe was asked why he picked Kentucky and his response was really weird. In case you're having trouble deciphering what the Union, N.J. product is saying, here's an excerpt of the comment in question:

“Growing up watching Kentucky, seeing what he did at Memphis with Tyreke Evans, at Kentucky with Derrick Rose…”

While Wildcats current head coach John Calipari did roam the sidelines in Rose's one year in college, it was with the Memphis Tigers. So, in summary, Briscoe is joining Kentucky because of what Coach Cal did with D-Rose at Memphis. Got all that?
