Premier League star Steven Gerrard has announced that he will be leaving Liverpool when the season comes to an end and taking his abilities to ever-sunny California. Gerrard will join the ranks of the MLS, suiting up for the LA Galaxy and following the likes of David Beckham and Robbie Keane, the latter of whom he once played with on Liverpool.

Gerrard signed an 18-month deal for about $6 million per year, according to ESPN FC. He will join the Galaxy in July after he's taken some time off following the end of Liverpool's season. It's another big name coup for the Galaxy who have been making a habit of cherry picking late-in-their-career stars from across the pond. Keane and Gerrard will form to once again create a formidable duo of attackers.
