Carson Palmer Gets a Three-Year Contract Extenson Worth $50 Million With the Cardinals

The Cardinals believe Carson Plamer is their guy.

For the average football fan, watching a mediocre quarterback is no fun. The bed shitting Andy Dalton displayed on Thursday Night Football is a prime example of that. However, there are a few who benefit from such scrubs.

Enter Carson Palmer. The former Bengals quarterback is nothing to be astounded at, as he hasn't won one playoff game his entire 11-year career. But he has been winning games for the Cardinals and comes after a line of under-center struggle that includes Kevin Kolb, John Skelton, and Derek Anderson. There's a reason those names don't jump out, although former Cardinals quarterback Brian Hoyer has a little somethin' somethin' going on for him in Cleveland.

So Palmer proved to be a keeper for the post-Kurt Warner Cardinals. They've agreed on a three-year, $50 million deal. He's guaranteed $20.5 million through 2015, which is well above league average.

Many would justifiably argue this is too high, but the Cardinals are winning with Palmer. Anybody think they'd have the best record right now?
