Andrew Wiggins Wasn't Even Told That a Trade Was Coming

Andrew Wiggins thought he was going to remain a Cavalier instead of being in the center of trade talk.

Imagine that over the course of a few weeks, you went from being a No. 1 draft pick who was about to play with LeBron James to being in the verge of getting traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. That's Andrew Wiggins' situation right now. The Cavaliers haven't been all that forthcoming with him either.

Chris Haynes of Comcast Sportsnet reports that the Cavaliers didn't tell Wiggins' camp that a trade was on its way. If you haven't heard, the Cavs are considering sending Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, and a future first-rounder for Kevin Love.

Love has been clear about wanting to leave Minnesota. Wiggins is just a little more modest in his desires.

“I just want to play for a team that wants me, whatever team wants me, I’ll play for,” Wiggins said in an interview with ESPN.

Not contracts, the likelihood of making the playoffs, or exposure, but simply wanting to feel wanted? That's deep. You can picture his eye glistening as he opens the window to his soul saying this.

Anyway, something will "likely" go down later this month.
