Well, here's something Johnny Manziel probably didn't expect to hear. With the 837th pick in the 2014 MLB Draft, the San Diego Padres selected Manziel, you know, just in case that whole NFL quarterback thing doesn't pan out. Maybe the Padres admired the way he threw out that ceremonial scramble first pitch when he visited PETCO Park?
Whatever the reason may be, Manziel is grateful for the opportunity.
