Nelson Mandela passed away late yesterday at the age of 95. So just about every single nightly news program in the world paid tribute to him last night with a segment on Mandela. But one managed to commit a major gaffe in the process.

As you can see here, Detroit TV station WDIV ran a piece called "Remembering Nelson Mandela." But when they did, they failed to run an image of Mandela during the piece. Instead, they ran an image of—d'oh!—Alex Rodriguez. Because, you know, it's so easy to confuse the two. What a fail.
