The godfather of all skaters, Hawk—aka "The Birdman"—became a pro skater at age 14. Just before he retired on an official basis at the age of 31, Hawk became the first skater to complete a "900" move, which entailed pulling off 2.5 full revolutions in mid-air on his deck. Since then, Hawk has branched out to do everything from video games to creating the nationwide skating and extreme sports exhibition, Boom Boom HuckJam, to some incredible philanthropic work with the Tony Hawk foundation. He's also found time dozens of appearances in films and TV shows. Not bad for a hyperactive kid from Carlsbad, CA.
