The Ford Crown Victoria had a long run as police vehicle of choice in the United States. Sure, we see the odd Camaro, Charger, Dart, and Mustang too. But, when push comes to shove, that Crown Vic silhouette screams "POLICE."

With the Crown Vic headed for retirement, the doors are open for a new icon of law enforcement. Indiana-based Carbon Motors has taken charge and offered the TX7, a "Muti mission vehicle." Designed to be more practical than an SUV and cheaper than a full assault SWAT truck, the TX7 can perform tasks as diverse as assuming command post roles following natural disaster or functioning as prisoner transport bus.

Deliveries are expect in the middle of 2013. The vehicle will cost your local police department $149,950.
