Remember when your mom used to tell you that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all? Maybe Carmelo Anthony should live by those words, especially when you're scheduled to make $19,444,503 next season. When asked about Jeremy Lin and the whole offer sheet fiasco, Anthony did his usual "it's not up to me" comment. Do you recall that same phrase being uttered when the Mike D'Antoni debacle came to a head?

This time around, though, Melo also offered some personal insight into how he felt towards the Rockets' proposed dollar amount to Lin saying, "It's up to the organization to say that they want to match that ridiculous contract." Yeah, Anthony is commenting on the crazy money Lin would receive from Houston, but still, this is coming from someone that ranks in the top 10 for most expensive salaries during the 2011-2012 NBA season. Alan Hahn of MSG stated that while the media will surely spin the story, it would've been better if the Knicks star forward said nothing at all. We have to agree.
