Longtime collaborators Concepts and Asics have a new sneaker project in the works. This time, the two entities are revisiting their patriotic "Boston Tea Party" Gel-Lyte 3 collab with a new Gel-Lyte 5 colorway.
This "Libertea" Concepts x Asics Gel-Lyte 5 sticks to the patriotic theme, as seen with the red, white, and blue color scheme covering the suede, mesh and nubuck upper. Much like its Gel-Lyte 3 counterpart, the right sides of the stripes come in gold while the left sides are dressed in silver. A special wood-inspired graphic and co-branding appear on the footbed, while a multicolored tooling sits below.
"Our relationship with Asics has allowed some of our most unique storylines and the length of our partnership has given us the time to anniversary product that we’re able to do so with utmost attention to material and execution," Deon Point, Concepts’ creative director, said.
This "Libertea" Concepts x Asics Gel-Lyte 5 collab will be released on July 8 at Cncpts.com and at Concepts stores for $150.
