Here's When You'll Be Able to Buy the adidas NMD Runner with Black Boost

We kicked off 2016 by breaking the news that adidas would finally be introducing colored Boost midsoles starting with black on the NMD Runner, and now it's closer than ever to becoming reality.

These new images give us the best look yet at the black Boost-equipped NMD Runners. Although official details are scarce, it's clear that this pair has a Japanese theme, with a script that translates to "the brand with the Three Stripes" appearing in Japanese katakana characters on the midsole's front EVA plug. Elsewhere, these NMDs sport a black Primeknit upper with white appearing only at the heel and around the striped ankle.

According to Modern Notoriety, these are set to drop in May alongside a few other similar colorways. Stay tuned for an official confirmation.
