While his Cleveland Cavs' continue their fight for an NBA Championship, star guard Kyrie Irving is recovering from surgery to repair a fractured knee cap that he suffered during Game 1 of the Finals. While Kyrie recuperates and the Cavs play on, Nike continues to go about its business with the upcoming release of the latest colorway in Irving's signature model, the Kyrie 1.
Dubbed the "Letterman," the color scheme draws its inspiration from the school colors of Kyrie's high school, Saint Patrick's in New Jersey. With a "Tour Yellow" mesh overlay and a "University Gold" base, the shoe is an absolute head turner. Early images of the shoe featured an infrared-like outsole, but this final version opts for a white finish.
The shoe is slated to release this Saturday, June 13, on Nike Store and select Nike retailers. Price is slated to be $110.
