The most recent episode of Complex's Sneaker Shopping with Joe La Puma hosted rapper YBN Nahmir at Flight Club in Los Angeles. The young artist was nominated to this year's XXL Freshman Class and is known for his hits like "Rubbin' Off the Paint," "Bounce Out With That," and "No Hook."
The 19-year-old Alabama native browsed the shelves with La Puma, talking about everything from his early style influences, his feelings on high-end sneakers, and modeling for a recent Jordan lookbook.
Jordan Brand played a big part in his life, with Nahmir recalling moments like getting them from his aunt's store in Connecticut for free to being upset to have to camp out for hyped up releases.
"Everybody got to stand in line for Jordans and they chose me to be on the front cover of that shit," said Nahmir. He sported the Air Jordan 13 "Hyper Royal" during the lookbook shoot and even mixed and matched the Air Jordan 13 "Wheat" and a white colorway for an Instagram post.
