A forthcoming footwear collaboration between Converse and Korean streetwear brand Kasina will include the Chuck 70 Ox and One Star silhouettes.
Paying homage to the 20-year history of the Seoul-based brand, the capsule collection includes several references to the unique style of the South Korean streetwear staple. Opening its doors in 1997, the label started off like most streetwear companies: rooted in skateboarding and outfitting young people for everyday activity. The strength of the image spread and began to incorporate artists and musicians who called the streets of Seoul home.
Both silhouettes feature detailed leathered uppers and contrast stitching as well as wide, black pinstripe detailing on the midsole and a star logo split between the two clear outsoles. Special hits that reference the brand include the brand's symbol, the Hanja character “女” and the inaugural year of the brand "1997" on the heel.
The Kasina x Converse One Star and Chuck 70 Ox will release globally at converse.com and in-store at Kasina on Friday, July 13, for a retail price that has yet to be announced.
