Dirk Nowitzki Wore the Nike Kobe XI 'Fade to Black' in Honor of Mamba Day

Dirk Nowitzki paid respect to Kobe Bryant by lacing up his signature sneakers.

Kobe Bryant and Dirk Nowitzki have battled it out on the court for nearly two decades, and along the way the two superstars certainly earned each other's respect. With today being Bryant's final game, Nowitzski honored him by wearing a pair of the "Fade to Black" Nike Kobe XIs.

The Dallas Mavericks took to Vine to share a clip of Nowitzki entering the arena tonight, where he took a moment to shout out Bryant and point out his sneakers. "Get the Mambas on there," said Nowitzki to the person recording the clip. Basketball fans will surely miss those two players going at each other every season.
