The countdown to the Jordan 11 "Legend Blue" is winding down, and the hype is real. When the shoe popped up a few months back, it immediatley struck a cord with sneakerheads as it brought together an iconic silhouette and a simplistic colorway with ties to MJ's alma mater. Now, we're seeing Jordan Brand apply the "Legend Blue" look almost everywhere, but is it killing a perfectly good colorway?

Along with the Jordan 11, we've seen the Jumpman bring "Legend Blue" to the XX9, Jordan 1 Mid, and now the Jordan Velocity. While it's not surprising JB would want to maximize the use of this clean, simplistic colorway, but is it overkill? Maybe it's a way to drive down the hype of the 11s, or just a way to offer consumers with a back up plan when they inevitably sell out. Either way, the Jordan Velocity "Legend Blue" looks like a nice alternate option to lace up for some hoops, while most "Legend Blue" Jordan 11s will end up sitting in your closet.

Pick up your pair of the "Legend Blue" Velocity today from the Nike Store, and let us know if you think JB is going overkill with the colorway.
