Based in Detroit, premium sneaker boutique Burn Rubber recently got the opportunity to collaborate with footwear manufacturer New Balance. Their first collaboration with a major footwear company, Burn Rubber chose the MT580, a model we typically see drop in Asia through various collaborations. Setting out to make the shoe their own, Burn Rubber focused on executing a shop theme and unique material usage.
The Burn Rubber MT580 features a grey nubuck upper, with tonal mesh working the toebox, tongue and ankle. A custom designed argyle pattern, which incorporates the company's colors, is used for the inner liner. Wrapping around the heel and along the base is a reflective 3M piecing, while white patent leather hits the tongue badge and heel tab. The midsole is also white, and sits atop a gum rubber outsole. Additional customization is seen with Burn Rubber branding on the hang tang and lacelock.
You can pick up the Burn Rubber MT580 on November 26th at burnrubberdetroit.com and the Burn Rubber’s Royal Oak Location.
