Boston based non-profit Artists for Humanity and Reebok are teaming up for a collection of sneakers designed by four local teens. The collaborations comes in an effort to break down barriers for young adults by providing paid creative work through a unique mentorship program that involves designing sneakers.

Featuring three silhouettes in limited edition colorways, the Artists for Humanity x Reebok Classic Collection includes the Reebok Workout Plus, Classic Leather and Club C. Designed by Thornton ‘Sparticus’ Nguyen, the Workout Plus draws inspiration from a rocket ship taking flight. The red, pink and orange clouds represent the ship's fiery launch, symbolizing life’s journey through the turbulent mists of teenage years. The Classic Leather was designed by Jonathan Vergara to represent Reebok's birthplace in Bolton, Northwest England and his current residence in Canton, Massachusetts. Its Atlantic Ocean-themed upper connects the two locations. For the final silhouette, the Club C, Jonathan ‘Pineapple’ Tejeda and Kathleen ‘Kat’ Canola teamed up create a sneaker designed after William the Conqueror’s coat of arms.

The Artists for Humanity x Reebok Classic Collection releases globally on Friday, April 7 at Reebok retailers, with a celebratory launch event at Reebok Union Square in New York City.
