Yesterday it was revealed that iconic fashion magazine Vogue would be collaborating on its own women's Air Jordan 1 model. Today, detailed imagery of the Anna Wintour-approved pairs has hit the net.
Using the women's Air Jordan 1 High Zip model, the remixes of the classic high-top are outfitted with tonal sail and red-colored leather uppers, respectively. A red "Edited by Vogue" keychain also dangles from the silver zipper that replaces a traditional lacing system. When unzipped, each pair also displays a leather panel embroidered with "AWOK," the Vogue editor-in-chief's signature sign-off. Keeping up with the premium theme you would expect with one of the world's most heralded fashion publications, they will come complete with special packaging and sealed in suede dust bags.
Along with the aforementioned Air Jordan 1s, multiple colorways of the Air Jordan 3 SE have also been teased as part of the collab that are due at retailers later this year.
The Vogue x Air Jordan 1 High Zip "AWOK" will initially debut on Saturday, July 21 exclusively at retailers Hirshleifers, Kith, Nordstrom x Nike, and Jordan's 306 Yonge Toronto and 32 South State Chicago. A Nike SNKRS release will follow on Monday, July 23. Pricing is set at $220.
