Yesterday, Nike released a Premium version of the Nike KD7. Continuing its assault on fans of Kevin Durant's latest signature sneaker, Nike is slated to release the KD7 "Lightning 534."
This latest KD7 draws its inspiration from a global landmark, New York City's Empire State Building and the lightning rod that sits atop it. The numbers "534" is where the Empire State is located, at the corner of 5th Avenue and 34th street. The purple tones of "Cave Purple" and "Hyper Grape" are representative of the purplish hue seen in the sky when the rod is struck by lightning. Durant's love affair with New York City and its basketball culture is no secret and the Lightning 534 is Durant's latest tribute to the "Big Apple." Dropping this Tuesday, November 25, fans will have to act lighting quick if they want to add these KDs to their collections.
