We knew we wanted to work on the 577, a runner that I remember launching in 1989. Such a great shoe. As it was, we only had about 15 minutes to come up with something. The trip to England was 95 percent about doing a collaboration with NB UK and 5 percent Flimby factory tour focus. For NB UK it was the other way around - they weren't that used to collaborations. We hand picked the materials and learned that there weren't that many options. The Flimby factory is known for using nothing but premium materials. I wanted to keep my design classic. Slightly inspired by the classic 577 in navy and the 997 in grey. Total production: 96 pairs.
