The most stacked October in recent memory is nearly upon us, complete with a new season of HBO’s Succession.

In a new trailer, shared Friday, we’re pulled back into the uniquely multifaceted Roy family drama. Namely, we have Kendall (Jeremy Strong) reflecting on the metaphorical bomb he dropped in the Season 2 finale. For Logan Roy (Brian Cox), Kendall’s dad and a noted “boar on the floor” enthusiast, Kendall’s aforementioned bomb-dropping has him entering the new season in a seemingly treacherous position.

In other words, it’s an all-out war.

Among the newcomers in the Season 3 cast are Adrien Brody, Sanaa Lathan, Alexander Skarsgård, Jihae Kim, and more. Catch the new trailer, which features a nicely executed mint-themed cyanide joke, above.

Succession returns to HBO on Oct. 17. The Jesse Armstrong-created series, now going “full fucking beast,” will also be available on HBO Max.

Speaking with Complex last August, then looking ahead to the release of A24’s Zola, Nicholas Braun—who plays Cousin Greg on Succession—gave fans some insight on his personal favorite moments from the Season 2 shoot. At the time, notably, the series was dealing with pandemic-spurred delays surrounding production for Season 3.

“There was one day when [Sarah] Snook and I, and this actress, Sydney, who played Kendall’s love interest in that Scotland episode. We all went on this walk and went on the golf course of this beautiful hotel we were shooting at,” Braun, describing a simple moment of gratitude he says he’ll never forget, said. “And, just being in the middle of Scotland with these guys. Those were pretty surreal moments that this job, and this career, has taken you all of a sudden to some incredible landscape.”
