It’s been a really weird—and kind of smelly—last few weeks in entertainment news.

After Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis revealed (unprovoked) that they only bathe their kids if they “see the dirt on them,” it triggered a hurricane of other celebrities, influencers, and regular folk sharing why they, too, don’t like cleaning themselves that often.

Cardi B has joined the debate, but she seems to be just as confused as we are. The rapper jokingly chimed in on social media, wondering why this has been a topic of conversation.

Wassup with people saying they don’t shower ? 🤨 It’s giving itchy.

“Wassup with people saying they don’t shower ? 🤨 It’s giving itchy,” Cardi tweeted. Her tweets mirror the sentiments of fellow celeb Jason Momoa who also recently went on record to confirm that he is pro-bathing.

“I’m not starting any trends, I shower, trust me,” Momoa told Access in an interview for his Netflix film Sweet Girl. “I shower, I’m Aquaman. I’m in the f**king water. Don’t worry about it. I’m Hawaiian. We got saltwater on me. I’m good.”

The Rock also weighed in by revealing his shower routine, writing, “Nope, I’m the opposite of a ‘not washing themselves’ celeb,” Dwayne Johnson wrote. “Shower (cold) when I roll outta bed to get my day rollin’. Shower (warm) after my workout before work. Shower (hot) after I get home from work. Face wash, body wash, exfoliate and I sing (off key) in the shower.”

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard were actors who said that while they used to clean their kids every night before bed, they now prefer to “wait for the stink.” Jake Gyllenhaal took it a step further by revealing in an interview with Vanity Fair that he finds bathing to be “less necessary, at times.”

It’s been a long week.
