Though it isn't set for release in the U.S. and Canada until July 3rd, Deadline is reporting that The Amazing Spider-Man is sweeping the international box offices, opening larger than The Avengers did in some parts of Asia. The film, which stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, has already grossed a total of $50.2 million overseas, and has broken records for biggest openings in multiple countries including India, Korea, and Singapore. The numbers are expected to rise in Europe next week with the end of the Euro Cup football championships, and school vacations beginning.
